Blog Journal #6
In regards to my initial experiences using Diigo, I thought it was very difficult to navigate. The user face is not so user friendly and as someone who has average skills pertaining to technology, it confuses me. I do like that you can create groups to interact with peers and instructors and I also like that the chrome extension allows you to make permalinks. Overall, I found it a little out dated and confusing.
My experience with blogging has been very fun! I love designing my layout and making small changes to the appearance. I love the way mine looks currently and I know my hard work designing it paid off. I also like getting inspiration from my peers and looking at the different layouts and styles. So far I have learned (the hard way) to make sure to save my edits before hitting the back arrow.
A Web 2.0 tools I might use when teaching could be Schoology. This site allows teachers to share their instructional resources and connect with peers. The interface seems easy to navigate and I believe it will be a great resource for new teachers to get guidance from more seasoned educators. It covers a large variety of things like classroom management and parent engagement.
