Blog Journal #7
Some schools require teachers to maintain a set of class pages on the school website. I could not find any for my personal high school's website. So I looked around and found a teacher at Miami Lakes K-8 Center named Ms. Romi Perez. Her personal website has hyperlinks to assignments, a supply list, and contact information. This is accessible for teachers and students alike.
When I'm a new teacher, I envision myself using sites like Canva to make stuff such as presentations or newsletters more alluring. I imagine I'll make use of blogs more often than I do. I love taking inspiration from other people so blogs are perfect for that. I want to use both Canva and blogger in a more professional sense in the future.
At first, PB Works was very hard for me to navigate. I found that I always forgot to hit edit whenever I wanted to add something to my page. I also do not like that it is not a secure website. I do not know much about cyber security so that scared be a bit. I also found it a little dated and I would rather use a different platform. After familiarizing myself with the platform, PB Works has become more easy to use overtime. I like that you can easily add hyperlinks and pages and it did not take me long to figure that function out. I would most likely use this website to formulate a forum for my student's parents in stead of my students.
